Al Wakrah coach Poya Asbaghi spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 22 match against Al Shamal.

“The players are highly motivated to play this match because it is the last match of the league and everyone wants to finish the tournament on a good note. Therefore, I can say that the general feeling within the team is very good at this time.

“We are well aware that we will face a strong team with great offensive capabilities, but this motivates us to do our best to overcome this obstacle,” said Asbaghi.

Al Wakrah player Khaled Mohammed said, “We are fully prepared for this match and will implement the coach’s all instructions because it is our path to victory, while focusing on correcting the mistakes we have made recently to overcome this obstacle.

“We have been performing strongly this season and it has been difficult for all clubs. I have great confidence that we will put in a strong performance against a team with great offensive capabilities.”
