Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 20 match against Al Arabi.
“We are in a difficult situation following the loss to Al Duhail, a direct and strong competitor, especially given the manner in which the team lost the match. It was not easy, especially after the two losses to Al Sadd and Al Duhail, and I am looking forward to fighting until the end in this competition.
“Al Arabi have very good players and their level has improved under coach Pablo Amo. Of course, it will be a difficult match, as always.
“On our part, we will need to focus and be stronger in defence and in one-on-one combat. I expect a strong response against Al Arabi. The squad is complete with the exception of the continued absence of Mohammed Muntari and Rodrigo,” said Martins.
Al Gharafa player Amro Seraj said, “The players’ preparations for the Al Arabi match are the same as for any other match. This is an important match. Al Arabi are a great team with good players, and we care about winning. We will focus on the pitch and hope to win. I thank the fans and hope they would attend the upcoming matches.”
