Al Sadd will host Al Wasl in the second leg of 2024-2025 season AFC Champions League Elite Round of 16 at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium of Al Sadd club on Monday, March 10, 2025. The kick-off is at 9pm.
The first-leg match played at the Zabeel Stadium in Dubai had ended in a 1-1 draw, so the second leg will be keenly contested as both teams will look for victory to advance to the quarterfinals.
Al Sadd had finished fourth in the league stage (West Zone) with 12 points from three wins, as many draws and two losses, while Al Wasl came in fifth place with 11 points from three wins, two draws and three losses.
They both had faced off in the league stage in Dubai and the match had ended in a 1-1 draw.
They also met in the Qatar-UAE Super Shield match hosted by Al Sadd and Al Wasl had won by a 1-0 margin.
Al Sadd had defeated Al Shahania 5-0 in Week 18 of Ooredoo Stars League on March 7.
Al Sadd may miss the services of Algerian Adam Ounas and Moroccan defender Romain Saiss due to injury.
