Al Rayyan coach Arthur Jorge spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 18 match against Al Khor.

“It is a very important match for us, especially after the first leg against Al Ahli Saudi Arabia in the Round of 16 of AFC Champions League Elite. It is very important to maintain our focus in the league because we have a goal and we must achieve it as soon as possible. It will be a difficult match for us because the competitor is fighting to stay in the first division.

“We need to do our best as it is the biggest goal for us now and we must maintain our victories in the league.

“The Al Khor match is difficult and the team is playing with the same seriousness whether against Al Duhail, Al Sadd or Al Khor, as it does not look at the competitors’ position. I have confidence in the players and we need great focus and seriousness for the players in order to win the match,” said Arthur Jorge.

Al Rayyan player Ahmed Al Rawi said, “The team is ready to face Al Khor. We are ready and prepared for this match, following the instructions given to us by the coach during training, and we have put the Al Ahli Saudi match behind us, where we performed well, but the result was not satisfactory.

“And as you know the Al Khor match is very important to us and we hope to be fully prepared to achieve victory. All teams face the problem of pressure, and with time we have become accustomed to this, and every match is important to us.”
