Al Ahli and Qatar SC will face off in the opening match in Week 15 of the 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League at the Al Thumama Stadium on Friday, February 7, 2025. The kick-off is at 4.30pm.

Both teams approach the match with a shared objective – to secure victory and improve their standings in the league, particularly as they both come off recent wins.

Al Ahli currently hold the fourth position with 28 points, same as Al Sadd and Al Gharafa, who occupy the second and third spot respectively.  In contrast, Qatar SC are positioned ninth with 16 points.

The determination to earn three points is evident in both teams, influenced by their recent performances and current standings.

Al Ahli, having won eight matches, including their latest against Al Khor, aim to maintain their winning streak to enhance their league position.

Coach Igor Biscan is optimistic, counting on key players such as Erik Exposito, Jassim Mohammed, Driss Fettouhi, Julian Draxler and Oumar Sekou.

Meanwhile, Qatar SC, buoyed by two significant victories over Al Sadd and Al Shamal in the last two weeks, have regained confidence after a challenging period at the bottom of table.

Coach Youssef Safri is eager to secure a third consecutive win and a total of six in the league, relying on the talents of players like Ahmed Abdel Kader, Percy Tau, Ibrahim Majed, Raoul Sanda, Ben Malango and Ali Awad, among others.
