Al Shahania coach Alvaro Mejia spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 13 match against Al Khor.

“I spoke with the players about the importance of this stage and we realize that all teams have great enthusiasm to collect the maximum number of points, and we will play with great enthusiasm in order to collect the maximum number of points.

“As for Al Khor, they are direct competitors for us and they are a team that has improved in terms of results, and we presented a great match in the last round, but we had some mistakes that we worked on to correct during the past period.

“The two teams are coming from the Second Division and have the same motivations, and we have a great motivation to win this match.

“The team suffered a lot during this season with the absence of a number of players presently the team is complete and this is a good thing that we will work to exploit,” said Mejia.

Al Shahania player Abdulrahman Masoud said, “We are ready to face Al Khor. It is a match that is considered as a final for us. We overcame the loss to Al Arabi in the last round and worked on correcting the mistakes by working with the technical staff and management. We are ready for this match and we will play to achieve the three points.

“We promise the fans the three points in order to stay away from the relegation and danger zones, and to compensate for the points that the team lost in the past matches, which were decided by small details. As for the coming period, there is no room for loss.”
