Al Gharafa coach Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 12 match against Al Khor.
“We will start the second leg of the league with a close match between the four teams at the top, namely Al Duhail, Al Sadd, Al Ahli and Al Gharafa, and then we have to start the second leg well.
“We know that it is a match against a team in last place, but there is no easy match, especially since they won against Al Duhail in the last match, so we have to be well aware of the value of respect and seriousness for the other team in order to be able to present a good match. For our part, we have prepared well during the past 10 days and I am sure that we will be ready for the first matches of the second leg.
“Korean Jang will be absent due to injury as well as Ahmed Al Janahi, who is not fully ready and will be present in the next match, and Sano is absent due to suspension, and other than that, all the players are fine and therefore we are ready for the match.
Al Gharafa player Abdullah Yousef said, “Now all our focus is on the league, our preparations are good for the start of the second leg, and certainly the match against Al Khor will be difficult because they are a strong and respectable team, especially since in the last match they achieved victory over leaders Al Duhail.
“We as players are fully focused and we seek to do our best in order to achieve victory. I thank our fans for their support for the players on the field.”
