Al Shahania coach Alvaro Mejia spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 12 match against Al Arabi.

“All teams are ready for the start of second leg and we are ready too. We have completed half of the work during the past period and now we are preparing for the upcoming match against Al Arabi. We will face a strong team with distinguished players. We must trust ourselves, respect the competitor and play without fear. Our goal is the three points.

“Our players must focus highly in the match in order to get the three points. Our goal is clear, coming from the second division. We are looking to remain in the first division and that task is difficult, but we have confidence in ourselves. The management, players and everyone are working hard this season,” said Mejia.

Al Shahania player Mohammed Badr Sayyar said, “The team is ready to face Al Arabi. We are prepared at the highest level to face Al Arabi and the second leg of the league will be very difficult in view of the changes taking place in many teams. We are fully prepared and the most important thing for us is to get the three points.

“The atmosphere is great in the dressing room. In the first leg, we did a great job, we have to continue working in order to reach the desired goal. We will make a great effort in order to get the maximum number of points in the second leg.”
