Al Wakrah coach Ali Rahma Al Marri spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 8 match against Al Sadd.

“We had enough time to prepare in the best possible way for this match as we underwent at least five training sessions during this week, and we realize that we will face a strong and experienced team on the local and Asian arenas, but my team is fully prepared and I hope that we will be at the level and I promise that we will fight for the three points.

“It is very natural for us to enter every match in search of victory and this is our goal in the Al Sadd match, and if it were not for the circumstances that occurred in the last match, we would have continued the path of victories, but in general, the only goal for us is to win every match.

“The vision is not completely clear yet, and of course we have a confirmed absence in Almahdi Ali, who received a red card in the last round, and otherwise the matter will be decided in the last hours before the game,” said Al Marri.

Al Wakrah player Hamdy Fathy said, “We would be able to overcome the Al Sadd obstacle. Everyone pledged to overcome this obstacle and resume the series of victories.

“The team prepared well for this match and I confirm that if the team appears in its natural state, victory will be ours, God-willing.

“I am well aware that the match between the two teams in the midfield area will be strong and its impact will be great on the result of the match, especially since the competitors are also a big team and have distinguished players. The important thing is that we are in our natural state.”
