Al Ahli coach Igor Biscan spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 8 match against Al Rayyan.

“We will face a strong and experienced team that has played many matches in the league and AFC Champions League Elite. The match will not be easy, but we will play to achieve our goal of winning points.

“I have confidence in our team’s ability to provide a distinguished level and win the match and thus return to the path of victories in the league. We prepared well for the match and worked to ensure that the team is ready to provide a distinguished performance that achieves the desired result.

“Al Ahli, like in our last match against Al Duhail, will make every effort to get the points, and I am certain that the team will appear better in the match against Al Rayyan. Our focus will be on winning and coming out with the points.

“We had many positive things from our loss against Al Duhail and will work to make the players’ performance distinctive in the next match. We have the capabilities to provide a distinctive performance and result, and the players have the required focus to achieve a positive result,” said Biscan.

Al Ahli defender Amin Tihi said, “We are ready physically and technically, and our goal will be to win the match.

“We respect Al Rayyan, they are a big and distinguished team, but we will play to win and return to the path of victories. We lost in the last round and it has become necessary to achieve victory and regain our pride.

“It is important to benefit from the negative aspects that appeared for the team in the last match against Al Duhail and turn them into positives in the next match. We are fully confident in our ability to reach a positive result.”
