Al Shamal coach Nuno Almeida spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 6 match against Al Ahli.

“We are waiting for a very strong match against a good and organized team that has an elite group of distinguished players in all departments. They are experiencing a distinctive state in view of the good results they have achieved since the start of the current season, which resulted in their presence in an advanced position in the league table, in addition to not losing any match so far.

“We realize the strength of our competitors, but at the same time our goal will be to win and collect the three points with full respect for the Al Ahli team.

“I followed Al Ahli and will try to find the best way to deal with them in order to put Al Shamal on the right path during the match,” said Almeida.

Al Shamal player Fahad Waad said, “The match will be difficult against a big team that includes players at the highest level among their ranks and have achieved distinctive results this season.

“We look forward to winning and collecting the three points in order to advance in the league table and we hope to inflict the first loss on Al Ahli this season, which requires intense focus and effort from the players on the field and following the instructions of technical staff.”
