The Al Janoub Stadium will host Al Wakrah vs Al Khor Week 6 match of the 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League on Thursday, September 26, 2024. The kick-off is at 8pm.

The encounter is expected to be strong and competitive as Al Wakrah seek to keep up their winning run with a second successive win - their third of the season, while Al Khor will work to translate their standout performances by clinching their first victory in the competition this season.

Al Wakrah currently occupy the fifth place on goal difference from Al Gharafa (fourth) with eight points, while Al Khor are in 10th place with three points from three draws and two losses.

Al Wakrah are riding on an exciting 2-0 victory scored over Al Rayyan in the previous round. It was also the first match for the team under the leadership of national coach Ali Rahma Al Marri, who took over from Spaniard Miguel Angel.

As for Al Khor, they lost their previous game 1-2 to Al Shamal.

The upcoming match is hence of great importance to both Al Wakrah and Al Khor. The Blue Wave aspire to achieve victory at home and collect three more points, while Al Khor aim to clinch the maximum points to correct their situation and work on moving forward in the standings.
