Al Duhail went down 1-2 to Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in their last friendly played during their overseas training camp in Austria as part of The Red Knights’ preparations ahead of the new season.

Al Hilal led 2-0 at half-time before Michael Olunga struck Al Duhail’s only goal in the fifth minute of second half, taking advantage of a cross in front of the goal and converting it with ease.

In Al Duhail’s three friendly games played during the camp, they beat Hungarian team Csikszereda 3-1, tied 2-2 against Austrian side Sturm Graz and defeated the UAE’s Kalba FC 2-1.

Al Duhail coach Christophe Galtier was keen to give the players opportunities during the friendly matches to assess their progress – both at physical and technical levels – and their understanding of the tactics that were set before the start of new season.
