In their third friendly during the overseas camp in Tiel, the Netherlands, Al Shamal lost 0-1 to Dutch team FC Dordrecht.

Al Shamal’s Portuguese coach Nuno Almeida was keen to push a large number of players to assess their levels ahead of the new season.

Al Shamal had played two friendlies during the camp. They lost the first match 0-1 to Dutch team FC Volendam, but won the second against Umm Salal 1-0.

Al Shamal’s fourth and final friendly during the camp is on August 1 before they return to Doha for the final stage of preparations.
