Umm Salal coach Patrice Carteron spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 7 match against Al Wakrah.

“It will be a very strong and difficult clash for both teams that know each other well. We hope that we will be on time and achieve the desired goal, which is to win and get three points, especially since Al Wakrah are one of the strong teams having a strong defence, in addition to the availability of talented players, so it will tough.

“We are upset by the recent loss to Al Rayyan and we hope to regain the winning touch. We have to enter the match with high concentration, be strongly prepared and advance in order to come out with a good result. Our goal is win,” said Carteron.

Umm Salal player Kenji Gorre said, “Certainly, the team’s match against Al Wakrah is very difficult, especially since its result is important for both teams, considering that we aspire to return and regain victories after the loss in the last round.

“It will be a big clash between two good teams. Al Wakrah are presenting a good level and playing with high concentration, and as for us, we will do our best to achieve victory. We will try to enter the match with great concentration to achieve a good result in order to obtain the three points and advance in the league table.”
