Al Gharafa face Al Duhail in Round 3 (Group B) of the 2023-2024 season Ooredoo Cup on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium of Qatar Sports Club. The kick-off is at 6pm.

Al Markhiya, Al Rayyan and Al Shamal are the other teams in the group, where Al Markhiya are leading with four points.

Al Duhail are placed second with three points earned from the victory over Al Shamal in Round 1. The Red Knights were not in action in the second round.

Al Duhail and Al Rayyan are equal on points and goal difference (+1), but the former are placed ahead having scored more number of goals (2 as against Al Rayyan’s 1).

Meanwhile, Al Gharafa are fourth in the group with one point that they collected from their 3-3 draw with Al Markhiya in Round 1.

The Cheetahs had lost 0-1 to Al Rayyan in the second round.

Al Duhail will be looking to compensate for their 2-3 loss to Al Gharafa in Week 4 of Expo Stars League on 24th September.

Undoubtedly, both teams have players of the highest level, be they overseas recruits or Qataris, and an exciting contest is in the offing.

It will also be a strong rehearsal for both teams ahead of the league’s resumption after the break, especially for Al Duhail who have strong games coming in the AFC Champions League, where they lost Iranian side Persepolis in the last round.
