Al Arabi face Al Wakrah in Round 2 (Group A) of the 2023-2024 season Ooredoo Cup on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium of Qatar Sports club. The kick-off is at 8pm.

Both sides will be keen to improve their position in the tournament.

They had contrasting fortunes in Round 1, where Al Arabi beat Muaither 2-1 and Al Wakrah lost to Umm Salal by a 0-5 margin.

Qatar SC and Al Ahli are the other teams in the group.

Al Arabi are placed third in the standings with three points and Al Wakrah last without any point.

Both Al Arabi and Al Wakrah are title contenders, so a keen contest is a foregone conclusion.

Coaches, Younes Ali of Al Arabi and Marquez Lopez of Al Wakrah, will want their wards to give off their best.

Meanwhile, in the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League which has taken a break after Week 5, Al Arabi are currently placed seventh with six points, while Al Wakrah are third with 11 points.
