Muaither face Al Ahli in Round 2 (Group A) of the 2023-2024 season Ooredoo Cup on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the Grand Hamad Stadium of Al Arabi club. The kick-off is at 6pm.

Both teams seek to compensate for their loss in the first round, as Muaither lost to Al Arabi and Al Ahli went down to Qatar SC by an identical 1-2 margin.

Umm Salal and Al Wakrah are the other teams in the group.

Muaither, who are currently placed eighth in the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League which has taken a break after Week 5 with four points, are looking forward to their first victory in the Ooredoo Cup.

On the other hand, Al Ahli, who are 10th in the Expo Stars League with three points, will be playing their first match under new coach, Portuguese Pedro Miguel, who replaced Montenegrin Nebojsa Jovovic. Naturally, the technical staff and players will be keen to make a turnaround in the team’s fortunes.
