Al Markhiya assistant coach Yasin Mishawi spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 5 match against Al Duhail.

“The technical staff and the players realize how difficult the team’s position is. We are in last place and we must engage in difficult games and obtain points more than ever before. We are confident in the players. The technical staff believe that the players can achieve this, we just need a little success.

“The break between the Al Wakrah match in the fourth round and the next match against Al Duhail is very short, but what is most important for the technical staff is to prepare the players to recover physically and psychologically, so they are ready for the challenge when we face Al Duhail,” said Yasin Mishawi.

Al Markhiya player Abdulaziz Metwally said, “The players know the importance and difficulty of the upcoming matches, and they have promised to try to obtain the three points or at least one point to improve the team’s position in the league standings and get out of the danger zone.

“The team has good harmony and I am sure that the players will give everything they have in the coming rounds. We hope to be successful.”
