Qatar SC coach Ze Ricardo spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 3 match against Al Shamal.

“All matches in the league are difficult because all teams seek to win having strengthened their ranks. We must be fully aware that facing Al Shamal will not be easy and we have to be in high concentration in order to achieve the first victory for the team that had a productive pre-season camp and played many friendly matches.

“We performed exceptionally well in the first two games, but were not successful. I have confidence in the capabilities of my team, which makes every effort and to achieve victories.

“We are on the right path and the result will be better in the upcoming matches. I am sure that the performance and the collective form will improve so that the team can score from the opportunities and win because we have an excellent group of players, each of whom striving for the best,” said Ricardo.

Qatar SC player Baha Ellethi said, “Facing Al Shamal is not easy. But we are keen to make a strong return to the tournament after we lost to Al Sadd in the last round. We have to return with strength especially since we have players of repute.

“We have to be ready for the confrontation and respect the opponents, especially since they are a difficult team and have put up strong performances in the last two rounds.”
