Al Khor coach Winfried Schafer spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 1 match against Al Duhail.

“I am happy that we are playing football again. We prepared well in the Turkey camp and here in our stadium.

“We know that Al Duhail are a strong team with outstanding players, but we will fight to win and get the three points. We are not afraid, as we will play in our stadium and among our fans. This is an invitation from me to all Al Khor fans to attend and support the team at the start of the new season,” said Schafer.

Al Khor player Naif Al Buraiki said, “I wish we have success in this new season. In the previous season, we did not go for a preparation camp due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but this season we prepared well psychologically, physically and technically in the team camp in Turkey. We hope this season will be better for us than previous seasons.

“The atmosphere in Al Khor club always helps the players present their best. The team management has placed confidence in many young players, whom you will see this season offering distinguished levels.”
