Lekhwiya’s Algerian coach Djamel Belmadi has given his side six days after their 3-2 defeat at the hands of rivals Al Sadd.
The Red Knights will reconvene for training on Saturday the 26th of March where they will begin preparations for their round 23 clash against relegation threatened Al Wakrah. Lekhwiya will be boosted for the tie with the return of midfielders Luis Martin & Yuseff Msakni who have served domestic bans.
In other team news nine players have been called for the Qatari national team, including Karim Boudiaf, Ismael Mohammed and Khalid Muftah. Midfielder Nam Tae Hee has also been called up by South Korea for their upcoming matches against Lebanon and Thailand.
Lekhwiya currently lie in fourth place in the QSL standings with a tally of 41 points.
