Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 19 match against Al Sadd.

“I extend my great thanks to the fans who supported us on the field, as their support with each attack was something very special, which gave us a great morale boost, and in general we gained more experience.

“We have a very important match ahead of us against a strong and experienced team like Al Sadd. As for us, we have prepared very well and we are ready to present a distinguished performance with the same determination and persistence, especially as we have a great desire to achieve a positive result despite the difficulty of the game.

“I see that the effort made by the system during the last year was tremendous, and we must continue making sacrifices in order to achieve results worthy of the club and for the sake of the fans and management, and although some results sometimes let us down, all the players are key to success and present very distinguished levels,” said Safri.

Qatar SC player Javi Martinez said, “We recently sought to achieve better results in the King Salman Club Cup and it was difficult for us to lose out on qualification as we dreamed of continuing in the tournament.

“An important match awaits us now against Al Sadd and therefore we prepared to play it with great enthusiasm, especially since we look forward to such matches and all players enjoy such games. It provides a positive reaction, which is an important situation in football, and I hope that we will be at the forefront and end our season among the top four.”
