Al Shamal coach David Prats spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 7 match against Al Wakrah.

“We are expecting a tough match against a strong team with top-level players. We must be well-prepared for this challenging encounter and we will do our utmost to achieve our goal of winning and securing the three points.

“We are very happy to be playing our first match at Al Shamal Stadium in the league and we certainly aspire to win our first game here. However, victory requires a great deal of effort from everyone and I have great confidence in the Al Shamal players and their ability to achieve the team’s ambitions and bring joy to our fans, whose support we expect in our first home game,” said Prats.

Al Shamal player Adel Alawi said, “It will be a tough match against a very good team, but we are determined to continue our excellent run since the beginning of the season, which requires focus from the first minute to the last.

“Playing the first match at Al Shamal club’s stadium gives the players an incentive to achieve victory and please the fans expected to attend this difficult match for both teams.”
