Al Wakrah coach Marquez Lopez spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 17 match against Al Sailiya.

“In these four days, we allocated a day for recovery and a day for rest for the players, and we had two days to prepare for the match.

“The next match will witness the return of three players, who are very important to us. But I am happy with all the players. Against Al Sadd, the situation was very difficult, but now everyone is back and everyone is ready without yellow cards for three or four players, and this is important. For the future of the team, I want to calm down and not put too much pressure on the players. Of course, one of our goals is to reach a good position,” said Marquez.

Al Wakrah player Abdulghani Munir said, “The preparations for the match were good. These preparations were very focused, as were the preparations for all matches.

“We go into this match with the aim of maintaining our position in the top four and we realize how difficult the match will be, especially since Al Sailiya will be strong competitors and their players will fight to maintain their presence in the first division.
