Al Rayyan coach Nicolas Cordova spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 21 match against Qatar SC.

“We saw Qatar SC pull off a draw in the last minutes in their last match against Al Sailiya. They are a strong team, but our focus is on our team in the first place. The team is on the decline and the next match will be better. We will play with high spirit and performance to achieve a positive result.

“The team is in a transitional stage and needs time to get used to the technical way in which it plays. We have been working for 14 days with the team and we played three matches and the time is very short. There is no time for training, so we focus on recovery between each match to make the squad physically ready.

“The players have the desire to return to victories and we will continue to work to correct our mistakes,” said Cordova.

Al Rayyan player Ali Malallah said, “The Qatar SC match will be difficult and we must appear better than the previous match against Al Gharafa.

“We must work harder in training and implement the coach's instructions in order to appear better in the upcoming matches. We will start with the Qatar SC match and give off our best level to win the three points.”
