Al Duhail coach Hernan Crespo spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League postponed match from Week 10 against Al Sadd.

“The Al Duhail vs Al Sadd matches are known for their difficulty and importance. It will be a difficult match for the two teams because of the players they have at good levels and we will play in order to achieve a positive result to widen the points difference between us and the clubs that are chasing us in the lead race.

“The team is ready for this match and we will try to show how strong we are, and you cannot expect the result related to what the players will present on the field, but we have to maintain the offensive part and implement our philosophy in order to achieve victory and continue to lead the league.

“I respect Al Sadd players and all players of other clubs, but my thinking and focus are all towards my players because I know that the team includes a group of players with great levels,” said Crespo.

Al Duhail defender Ruben Semedo said, “All players are ready for the match against Al Sadd.

“We have an important and exciting match ahead of us, in which we will face a team that has a group of distinguished players, but we know what we must do on the field to come out with a positive result that guarantees us our position at the top of the standings.

“The match will be an opportunity for us to show our team spirit, our excellence and our ability to continue to be at the top of the standings.

“I do not know my participation in the match because it is the prerogative of the technical staff, but the most important thing for me is to win and we train on a daily basis in order to be ready for all matches physically, mentally and technically.”
