Al Shamal coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 16 match against Qatar SC.

“A difficult match awaits us against a good team that includes high-level players and has achieved good results in the recent period.

“The match against Qatar SC is very crucial for us, therefore we will strive to achieve a positive result. I think the match will be difficult for both teams.

“We hope to achieve a positive result. The performance of Al Shamal has improved of late, but we seek to translate that performance into a good result, and we hope that success will be with us and Qatar SC game will be the real beginning for us,” said Wesam.

Al Shamal player Yassin Abdullah said, “Our competitors are one of the strong teams in the league this season, as was evident from their good results in the recent period. Therefore, we have to be fully focused in order to tackle them and achieve the result that we aspire to.

“We need to make a comeback badly, therefore we will seek only victory against Qatar SC with all due respects to them.”
