Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 16 match against Al Gharafa.

“Facing a strong team like Al Gharafa will not be easy, but at Al Ahli, I work with my assistant staff and players to ensure that the team is always at the best levels of concentration and preparation for the match in terms of physical and technical aspects. We are always looking for the best in performance and results.

“The distinguished level with which the team played against Al Sadd and achieved victory in the last round was due to the great ambition and desire of the players to present the best and develop in performance in all seriousness. The competition is strong in the league and the difference between clubs in the table are made by the results. We are close to achieving our goal of obtaining the position we aspire.

“We will give off everything we have on the field in order to achieve the required result. Focus is always on the high spirit and desire to achieve victory, which are the two factors in the ranks of Al Ahli. We will be ready to face Al Gharafa,” said Nebojsa.

Al Ahli player Sofiane Hanni said, “It is not easy for any player who used to play to stay out of the squad due to injury, but I have regained my physical strength, recovered and will give everything I have to the team.

“Facing Al Gharafa will not be easy and it is a very strong team in all departments of the game. We must do our best in order to obtain points to achieve the club’s aspirations, delight our fans with the best performance and come up with a positive result.
