Al Markhiya assistant coach Yasin Mishawi spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 4 match against Al Wakrah.

“All the players worked very hard during training in order to appear well and present a match worthy of the club’s name.

“We know that Al Wakrah are a big team, but we also have the technical capabilities that enable us to present a great match. The team needs to achieve a positive result and win points in the match, and improve its position in the league table. The technical staff and players are determined to appear in a different way and provide the best level.

“The break for about three weeks was an ideal opportunity to review performance and address previous mistakes, as the team conducted many exercises aimed at developing skills and physical performance, especially since the team is awaiting strong games in the upcoming rounds,” said Yasin Mishawi.

Al Markhiya player Ali Nasser Al Marri said, “All players went through the recent training sessions in high spirits and are determined to achieve a positive result against Al Wakrah. The return of some players from injury will be an additional motivation for the team to perform well.

“The past negative results will not affect the players’ performance during their next match and we have high confidence in our abilities and know that the team lacks nothing but success.”
