Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 17 match against Al Arabi.

“We are in a difficult situation, but we must have the hope of staying in the league until the last moment. We are well aware that Al Arabi are a distinguished team and one of the three best clubs this season. Certainly, the technical differences outweigh the Al Arabi team, but football is not subject to prejudices. God-willing, we will be determined and focused and not make mistakes.

“We still suffer from inconsistency on the field and many players have had their self-confidence affected during the first leg of the league. We always have problem when we concede a goal, you feel that the team loses focus. Besides, we have lack of bench strength and many players suffered injuries. Despite that, we will deal with all these problems with self-confidence, determination and focus in order to get the team out of this difficult situation,” said Trabelsi.

Al Sailiya player Mohab Mohammed said, “Preparations were like for every match as the technical staff work to equip all players at the technical, physical and mental levels. We are well aware of the strength of Al Arabi and the great technical capabilities of their players and the distinguished level of the team in general. So we respect them very much. Despite that, we will try our best to achieve a positive result to get out of the difficult situation the team is in.

“We have no choice, but to win and there will certainly be enthusiasm and determination on the field in order to achieve victory and collect three important points.”
