Al Sadd coach Javi Gracia spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 17 match against Al Gharafa.

“We are into February and we have a lot of matches ahead of us, it's a busy month for us. We play six matches, we play every 3-4 days and we have to be ready for that.

“We know that the Al Gharafa match is important for us as always. Al Gharafa are an organized team and they have big names, and we must maintain our mentality as we did in the last match. We have to continue to show our best image and I think the players were great in the last match and they performed really well.

“We played a great match against Al Wakrah, scored six goals, kept a clean sheet and showed our ambition and mentality until the end. I think it was a comprehensive performance and we have to repeat it in all matches.

“We should not waste time thinking about the position in the table or the points difference, and we must focus on the next training session and try to do the best we can. That way, the matches will be good for us,” said Gracia.

Al Sadd player Yousef Abdulrazzaq said, “A difficult match for us against Al Gharafa, who are one of the best teams in the league, and our goal is to win, collect the three points, and complete the league's march without any loss.

“Al Sadd are playing good matches in the recent period and we will work to appear strongly in the rest of the season as well.”
