Al Shamal coach Hisham Zahid spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 22 match against Al Rayyan.

“We hope to end the season in a proper manner for Al Shamal club by displaying good levels.

“Al Rayyan are a great team and we respect them a lot regardless of their current standings, but they remain big and have players at the highest level.

“I hope the players will display the performance expected of them and be up to the expectations.

“We had a good season, be it during the period in which I was in charge or during the former coach (Hicham Jadrane). I hope the team will finish the season well,” said Hisham.

Al Shamal player Mohsen Al Yazidi said, “At the outset, I would like to thank all my fellow players and the technical and administrative staff for what they have done throughout the season in order to achieve our desired goal, which is to stay in the league.

“I thank them for the great efforts they made throughout the season. They gave off everything they could to achieve the team’s goal.

Of course, we have an important game against a big team like Al Rayyan. We strive to achieve a positive result and get the three points.”
