Al Duhail coach Djamel Belmadi spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 2 match against Al Arabi.

“Our match against Al Arabi is a tough one against a good team with high-caliber players. It will certainly be a difficult game for us.

“We performed well in our first league match against Al Sailiya and we will strive to maintain that level of play. As I mentioned, it will certainly be a difficult match against Al Arabi,” said Belmadi.

Al Duhail player Bassam Al Rawi said, “I  stress the importance of the victory achieved in the first round against Al Sailiya and the team’s determination to continue winning and accumulating points in the league.

“The large fan presence at all league matches is a great thing and a motivator for the players to give their best. The ‘Hayyoh’ initiative, which was recently launched, has greatly contributed to encouraging fans to attend, which is a positive thing.”
