Al Arabi assistant coach Bruno Oliveira spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Umm Salal.

“The Umm Salal game will not be easy, but we are ready. Umm Salal will be very excited to face us, especially after their recent victory over Al Duhail, which is a strong motivation for their players before our match.

“We will play against Umm Salal with the same seriousness that we faced Al Gharafa and we are very excited to play this match. We are confident of collecting the three points.

“As the statistics say, and as everyone watched the Al Gharafa match, we deserved the three points and played a great match and created a lot of opportunities. Now, we need to compensate for the points we missed against Al Gharafa in the Umm Salal match, so we will give everything in our capacity to get points.

“We want to be better, this is our goal and what we work on every day, as our players focus on the next match only. Seeing our standing makes us proud but we know we haven't achieved anything yet, we know we need to keep our focus on the matches and try to win and get the points,” said Bruno.

Al Arabi player Ahmed Suhail said, “The draw against Al Gharafa in the last round will not affect us negatively. Instead, it will help us go into the next match with greater focus and motivation to achieve the three points.

“After a long break, teams always lose some focus, which is what happened in the Al Gharafa match. We created more than one opportunity and were unsuccessful in scoring. That is what we will work on during training with the coach to avoid these mistakes and provide a good display.”
