Al Shamal assistant coach Talal Al Balooshi spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League match against Al Markhiya postponed from Week 9.
“A very important match against Al Markhiya, just like the three other matches for us in the league this season.
“We consider the remaining matches for us as finals and cup matches in which there is no choice other than winning and collecting the maximum number of points in order to move away from the danger zone in the league table.
“The technical staff were keen to correct the mistakes made by the players, which is done from time to time.
“Facing Al Markhiya will not be easy at all in view of the teams’ positions in the table,” said Talal.
Al Shamal captain Majed Mohammed said, “Al Markhiya present distinguished levels and the game against them will be very important to us. We seek victory in order to move away from the relegation zone, which is the same goal of Al Markhiya, which increases the difficulty of the match.
“We realize that the match will be difficult, but we are ready and our goal is to win and collect the three points.”
