Al Arabi coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 7 match against Umm Salal.

“Umm Salal are a difficult team and our games against each other are always exciting. The team presented good levels in the first rounds and missed some points, but they remain as strong competitors and games against them are difficult. We are now thinking about Umm Salal and the three points.

“We have to continue diligence and focus more in the upcoming matches. We played the Al Sailiya match with a strong desire to return to the winning path and the result was special. I hope that such spirit will be present in the next match, focus and desire to win is greater than the previous match.

“I always think about winning only, thinking about the lead position is not one of my concerns at the moment. As I said before, I am no longer a champion, but all my thoughts are in the next match to be the best match. And then the next match, the league journey is still long,” said Younes.

Al Arabi player Helal Mohammed said, “Umm Salal are a strong side that presents good levels in the league and we have to respect them in order to win and collect the three points.

“Our focus at the moment is to accumulate the largest number of points before the break, after which there will certainly be an action plan in order to prepare the team well for the remaining part of the competition.”
