Al Arabi coach Cosmin Contra spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 7 match against Al Wakrah.

“We have a tough match ahead against an opponent that is well-organized and possesses quality players. Our encounters with Al Wakrah are always tactically complex, which requires us to maintain complete mental focus throughout the entire 90 minutes.

“Our recent results will serve as motivation for us to deliver a strong performance and continue our positive run. Al Wakrah excel at quick transitions and we must handle this with total discipline to prevent them from posing any threat to our goal. Our objective is clear: to secure all three points. At this stage, we cannot afford to drop any points,” said Contra.

Al Arabi player Ameed Mahajneh said, “We are fully aware of the significance of this match. Our preparations have gone very well and everyone in the squad is determined to put in a strong performance that reflects Al Arabi’s identity on the pitch. There is a positive spirit within the team and we are prepared to perform at our best.”
