A sizzling Abdessamed Bounacer strike saw Al Shamal score a 1-0 win over Al Gharafa in Round 4 of 2025-2026 QSL Cup at the Grand Hamad Stadium on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Both sides battled hard to break the deadlock till late in the second session before Bounacer seized his chance while being in the clear to strike in the 73rd minute of the match. Bounacer struck from about five yards outside the box and his kick sailed over the goalkeeper only to hit the centre of the crossbar and bounce in.
Nine minutes of added time saw Al Gharafa push for an equalizer, but all their efforts were in vain.
It was Al Shamal’s second successive win (following their 5-0 win over Al Markhiya in the previous round) and took their tally to eight points to be seventh in standings.
Al Gharafa suffered their fourth defeat and slid to 19th place in the standings with a solitary point to their credit.
