Al Arabi face Al Rayyan in Week 8 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:30 at the Al Arabi Stadium on Saturday, 30th October, 2021.

Al Arabi kept the third place in the standings despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Al Ahli in the last round.

The Dream Team now have 13 points (four wins, one draw and two defeats) and have a goal difference of +1 (nine goals for and eight against).

Meanwhile, Al Rayyan will be looking to sustain the momentum after beating Al Sailiya 4-2 in the last round for their second victory. That also helped them overcome the loss to Al Sadd in tie-breaker in the Amir Cup final recently.

Laurent Blanc-coached Al Rayyan have also registered three draws and two defeats, and have a goal difference of -2 (12 goals for and 14 against). They are placed sixth with nine points.

The match assumes greater significance, given the huge fan-following both teams enjoy.

Younes Ali-coached Al Arabi boast of players, such as Tunisian forward Yousef Msakni, Iranian Farshid Ismaili, Gabonese striker Aaron Boupendza, Ahmed Fathi, Abdullah Marafi and Marc Muniesa.

The Al Rayyan ranks include Colombian star James Rodriguez, Ivorian Yohan Boli, who has scored four goals in the league so far this season, Abdulaziz Hatem, Mowafaq Awad, Ahmed Yasser and Fahad Younes.
