17:20 kick-off at Al Khor Stadium

Al Shamal face Al Duhail in Week 7 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 17:20 at the Al Khor Stadium on Monday, 25th October, 2021.

Al Shamal, who returned to the First Division after six seasons, are last in the standings with four points (one victory, one draw and four defeats).

Hisham Jadrane-coached Al Shamal, who lost 1-3 to Al Arabi in the previous round, have a goal difference of -9 (eight goals for and 17 against).

Al Shamal will desperately be looking forward to some positive results at this stage.

On the other hand, Al Duhail, under the tutelage of Portuguese Luis Castro, kept the second position in the standings despite losing 1-4 to Al Wakrah in the postponed match from Week 5, played on Thursday, 21st October.

The game was postponed due to the health measures that prevented Al Duhail players from participating in training and matches, as many of them and technical staff were affected with the coronavirus (Covid-19).

Almoez Ali had put Al Duhail ahead in the 29th minute, but Al Wakrah fought back superbly with goals by Jacinto Dala (45th and 69th minutes), Mohamed Benyettou (61st minute) and Hazem Shehata (88th minute) scored the goals for Al Wakrah.

Al Duhail, who suffered their first defeat this season, have 15 points (five wins and one defeat) and have a goal difference of +11 (18 goals for and seven against).
