Al Khor and Al Gharafa were locked in a 1-1 draw in Week 18 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League at the Al Khor Stadium on Thursday.

Sofiane Hanni scored for Al Gharafa in the 52nd minute, the lead that was neutralized by Elnagi Elsadiq for Al Khor in the 72nd minute.

Al Khor and Al Gharafa now have 12 and 27 points respectively.

Al Gharafa had beaten Al Khor 5-0 in the first leg of 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League.

The first half was evenly contested and both teams created opportunities, but could not score.

Al Khor’s Ahmed Al Mohannadi missed a good chance in the eighth minute as he misfired a cross from the right by Said Brahimi.

The next minute, Al Gharafa’s Ahmed Al Janehi missed an opportunity as he delayed shooting the ball and hit the side-netting.

Brahimi was at the helm of Al Khor’s attacks and, in the 36th minute, he shot straight to goalkeeper Yousef Hassan after being cleared of the defenders and put through to the middle.

Al Gharafa took the field after resumption of play by fielding Ahmed Alaaeldin in place of Andri Syahputra in a bid to up their ante. And The Cheetahs were rewarded as they took the lead before long through Hanni.

Similarly, Al Khor made a substitution, Tamir Gamal replacing Jasser Yahya in the 65th minute. The move paid off as Tamir played a crucial role in The Knights’ equaliser as he assisted Elnagi to score with a measured cross from the left.

That was after Brahimi missed the mark yet another time as his chip shot narrowly went wide.

The final minutes saw both sides press hard for an advantage, in vain.
