Al Shamal face Al Rayyan in Week 11 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 16:10 at the Al Ahli Stadium on Wednesday, 29th December, 2021.

Al Shamal, coached by Moroccan Hicham Jadrane, are ninth with nine points (two wins, three draws and five defeats). They have a goal difference of -6 (13 goals for and 19 against).

Al Shamal did well in the last round, when the league resumed after a long break, by holding Al Wakrah to a 1-1 draw.

Al Shamal scored an own goal through Abdulaziz Metwali in the 36th minute, handing Al Wakrah the lead, but Jeison Escobar found the target in the 77th minute to help them draw level.

Laurent Blanc-coached Al Rayyan are coming off a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Qatar       SC. The Lions are placed 10th with nine points (two victories, three draws and five defeats) and have a goal difference of -6 (13 goals for and 19 against).

Al Ahli too are on nine points, but they are placed ahead of Al Shamal and Al Rayyan on better goal difference.

Al Rayyan will be more keen than ever to improve their position with a series of positive results.
