Homam Al Ameen of Al Gharafa has been adjudged the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League’s Best Under-23 Player for the months of December, 2021, & January, 2022.
Homam, one of the key players of Al Gharafa and the Qatar national team, has been playing a vital role in the team’s Italian coach Andrea Stramaccioni’s scheme of things.
He played in Al Gharafa’s all seven matches (Weeks 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16) during the period, spending a total of 690 minutes on the pitch, according to STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the QNB Stars League. He scored two goals and Al Gharafa collected 11 points (three wins, two draws and as many defeats).
After 16 rounds of action, Al Gharafa are a creditable fourth in the QNB Stars League with 26 points (eight wins, two draws and six defeats).
The Cheetahs drew Al Arabi 0-0, beat Al Sailiya 3-0, beat Al Shamal 3-2, drew 0-0 with Al Ahli, lost 2-4 to Al Duhail, lost 1-3 to Umm Salal and beat Qatar SC 3-2 in that order.
