Qatar SC and Al Arabi played out a gripping goalless draw in Week 19 of the 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League at the Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium of Qatar SC on Saturday.
The result saw Al Arabi’s points tally move up to 23 points - in seventh place in the rankings and ahead of Al Shahania on goal difference, while Qatar SC moved to 22 points to be in ninth place.
While a goal eduled the teams, there was plenty of exciting action in both halves of the match.
Qatar SC came close in the 33rd minute when a Percy Tau close strike was brilliantly cut off by the stretched right leg of Al Arabi goalkeeper Mahmoud Abunada.
Both sides pushed hard to break the deadlock and there were some rough tackles which saw a slew of yellow cards being flashed.
In the 64th minute, Qatar SC were again denied when an Ahmed Mohammed Radwan kick was cut off by Al Arabi’s Marco Verratti while being just under the bar.
