Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 10 match against Al Sailiya.

“We offer good levels, but that does not win matches. Our technical staff worked during the break to ensure that the team was in the best shape and get good results in order to overcome the setbacks in the last stage during which the pause FIFA Arab Cup 2021 was held. It was an opportunity for the technical staff to prepare the players physically and mentally for the next stage.

“The team's focus at the present time is on the Al Sailiya match, which is an important match. We believe it will not be easy, but the team will be ready for it. We will miss some players, but any change of players will be in the winter transfer period, which is next January.

“Paraguayan professional Hernan Perez will not be present with the team after he underwent a surgery that will leave him out for a long time. The goal now is to excel against Al Sailiya,” said Nebojsa.

Al Ahli player Sofiane Bouftini said, “It is necessary for us the players to be mentally and physically ready for this match, especially since Al Ahli have not had any victory so far.
