The six matches in the fourth week of 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League played on September 13 and 14, 2024, showcased intense and thrilling competition as all teams engaged in a fierce rivalry with the objective of securing victory and earning three points, following the international break.

Al Rayyan bt Al Shahania   4-2

 Al Gharafa drew Al Shamal        1-1

 Al Sadd lost to Umm Salal  1-3

 Qatar SC lost to Al Ahli      0-1

 Al Arabi drew Al Khor                 1-1

 Al Wakrah lost to Al Duhail        0-2

The round featured a total of 17 goals, with the highest scoring game occurring between Al Rayyan and Al Shahania, which recorded six goals. Two matches ended in draws, both with a score of 1-1. Additionally, Al Ahli and Al Duhail secured victories without conceding any goals. The matches also saw 25 yellow cards and three red cards.

Al Duhail continued to lead the standings with a perfect score of 12 points, having achieved four consecutive victories, thereby demonstrating a strong start to the season following the challenges faced in the previous year.

Meanwhile, Al Ahli also showcased their readiness through impressive performances, achieving their third victory and maintaining their position in second place.

Umm Salal advanced from seventh to fourth after their victory over Al Sadd  and Al Rayyan also advanced to the fifth position from eighth they were in before the round.

Al Wakrah dropped to seventh and Al Gharafa are in sixth, while Al Shamal are in eighth and Al Khor in ninth. Al Arabi, Qatar SC and Al Shahania are in the last three places in that order.

There are still three clubs looking for their first victory of the season – Al Khor, Al Arabi and Al Shahania.

Al Rayyan started their match against Al Shahania with great vigour, successfully securing victories after experiencing losses in the second and third rounds. This achievement has provided them with significant motivation as they prepare to take on Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, September 17, marking the start of their campaign in 2024-2025 AFC Champions League Elite.

With this win, Al Rayyan accumulated three points, elevating their total to six points and placing them in fifth position, behind Al Sadd (third) and Umm Salal (fourth) based on goal difference. Conversely, Al Shahania remained at two points, resulting in a drop to 12th place.

Al Gharafa and Al Shamal played out an entertaining 1-1 draw, with each team earning one point. Al Gharafa’s total reached five points, positioning them in sixth place, while Al Shamal accumulated four points, placing them in eighth. This encounter served as a final preparation for Al Gharafa before they face their Iranian rivals Esteghlal on Monday (September 16, 2024), as they start their journey in the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League Elite.

Umm Salal beat holders Al Sadd for a vital victory, elevating their total to six points and positioning them in fourth place, ahead of Al Rayyan (fifth) and behind Al Sadd (third) based on goal difference. Al Sadd are set to face Al Ain of the UAE on Monday, September 16, 2024, in their inaugural game of AFC Champions League Elite.

Meanwhile, Al Ahli maintained their impressive momentum by achieving their third consecutive victory, this time against Qatar SC, who faced another defeat after previously securing their only win of the season in the third round. Al Ahli’s points increased to 10, placing them in second position, while Qatar SC’s tally remained on three, resulting in a drop from ninth to 11th place.

In a match held at the Al Thumama Stadium, Al Arabi and Al Khor tied 1-1, with Al Khor equalizing in the fourth minute of stoppage time. Consequently, both teams shared the points, with Al Arabi reaching a total of three points, the same as Al Khor.

The action concluded with a heavyweight clash between Al Wakrah and Al Duhail, where The Red Knights managed to maintain their winning ways and achieved the fourth consecutive victory, while Al Wakrah experienced their first loss after a single victory and two draws in the first three rounds of the tournament.
