17:35 kick-off at Al Khor Stadium

Al Sailiya face Al Khor in Round 3 (Group B) of the 2021-2022 season Ooredoo Cup at the Al Khor Stadium on Monday. The kick-off is at 17:35.

Al Gharafa, Qatar SC and Al Arabi are the other teams in Group B.

Reigning champions Al Sailiya, under the tutelage of Tunisian Sami Trabelsi, are third in the standings with one point.

The Peregrines played a 2-2 draw with Al Arabi in the opening round, but were not in action in the second.

It may be recalled that Al Sailiya had lost 0-3 to Al Wakrah in the semifinal of last season’s Ooredoo Cup, but the Qatar Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee reversed the result 3-0 in favour of Al Sailiya as Al Wakrah had fielded an ineligible player.

And Al Sailiya defeated Al Rayyan 2-0 in the final to lift their first major trophy.

Al Khor are the bottom side in the group with one point. The Knights, coached by German Winfried Schafer, had lost 1-2 to Qatar SC in the opening round, but held Al Arabi to a goalless draw in the second.
