Al Shamal coach David Prats spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 6 match against Lusail.

“We face a challenging match against a very good side. They have exceptional players, a distinct style of play, and a clear identity on the pitch. We are entering the game with one objective: to win and secure all three points, getting us back to winning ways.

“We are highly motivated to return to winning ways, especially following the difficult moments we experienced in our last league match against Al Duhail. Consequently, a victory against Lusail is crucial for us to get back on the right track in the league,” said Prats.

Al Shamal player Tiago Silva said, “We are excited to return to league action following our match against Iran’s Tractor in the AFC Champions League Elite, where we delivered a strong performance.

“We are now looking to return to winning ways in the league, following our defeat to Al Duhail in the previous round, a result that was quite difficult for us.”
