Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 3 match against Al Sadd.
“Our preparations for the upcoming match are ongoing. We dedicated the first two training sessions to recovery to help the players regain their fitness, especially those who played most of the previous match, while the rest of the players underwent normal training.
“As I predicted for the last match, it was an open and balanced game, with both teams striving for victory. Unfortunately, we made some defensive errors in the last 10 minutes of the first half, which Al Sadd capitalized on to score two goals,” said Martins.
Al Gharafa player Alaaeldin said, “We are suffering from a short preparation period for this important match, but despite that, the players are trying their best to be ready.
“We started the league with a win, then stumbled in the second match. Our match against Al Sadd is a top-tier game and the competition between us and Al Sadd for the title is always fierce.”
